TRUST & TRUSTWORTHINESS

"Trust is a big ticket item that requires the collateral of trustworthiness."

Trust is one of those intangibles that bear such a great influence in how we move through our lives. When we are trusting of others, and even ourselves, we are more open to choices and more available to opportunities.

When the trust has been defiled, our world becomes cloaked in suspicion and distrust.

Trust is difficult to repair or regain, once broken or lost. It takes a tremendous amount of energy and focus to bring yourself to trust the source that violated the trust. Often times, relationships are destroyed because of lack of trust.

In regaining trust, it requires first and foremost forgiveness...first of yourself, and then of the person who violated the trust. Forgiveness allows you an opportunity to look at the situation with a new perspective, opening up a channel of communication. From there, understanding can be established, and the reason for the breakdown is often revealed.

Trust -- hold on to it. It is a priceless commodity. Cherish those with whom you have established a stronghold in the trust department. Beware of any temptation that may cause you to stumble, destroying forever the perfectly laid foundation of trust. Once it has been cracked, it will never again have the stability and strength it once possessed. view sourceprint?1
