WHO IS I AM?

"I AM that I AM without explanation or apology."

The thought of I AM was profoundly strong within me today. I often say that the I AM of God dwells within me. Sometimes, life's subtle reminders of who we really are surprise us with an overwhelming dose of truth.

Most people believe in a higher power, for me it happens to be GOD, and my belief is that God is everywhere, in everyone, and everything--Omnipresent. When Moses was on top of Mt. Sinai talking to a burning bush, he had to ask the question "Who are you? [paraphrased]"...and the spirit that indwelled the bush said to Moses "I AM THAT I AM. Go tell everybody that I AM has sent you to them" [paraphrased, again]. I didn't realize the significance of that statement until I began to ponder it this morning. Although, I AM aware of I AM within me...It's the God in me [shouts to MaryMary -- they got it right!]

When God said "I AM", it was a declaration...a statement of claim to true identity. It positioned life itself and its universal forces to recognize his all-beingness. Think about it a moment! This is why it is so important to state the "I AM" in answer to life's questions.

Q: "How are you today?"
A "I AM absolutely wonderful!"
TRANSLATION: GOD IN ME IS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!

Q: "Where are you going?"
A: "I AM going forward in life with enthusiasm!"
TRANSLATION: GOD IN ME IS MOVING ME FORWARD WITH ENTHUSIASM!

Get it???

Any answer to life without stating "I AM" leaves the God presence within you out of the picture. That could mean experiencing life from outside of His divine grace, love, understanding, wisdom, prosperity, wealth, and health...Uh! Duh!!! Do you really want that? NOT.

Sit in silence today and acknowledge the I AM of God within you...say "I AM...I AM" Bring your awareness to the conscious level of his existence within you through I AM --- which God declared his name forever.

Being omnipresent, omniscience, and omnipotent, the I AM that dwells within you has hosted his power within your being...use it! view sourceprint?1

FEELIN' LOST?

"There is no path that leads to a dead end; you either go right, or you go left. If you don't know which way to go, ask for help...A guide is waiting to assist you."

The day before Thanksgiving...a time when most people are trying to reach their destination to spend time with their families and share in this festive time of year; giving thanks for all the wonderful things the year has brought their way. Or, maybe on their way to the all too crowded shopping malls to catch pre-BLACK FRIDAY sales. In any case, we are all going somewhere.

This morning, I was on my way to Starbucks to meet some friends and just enjoy the day. I was sitting in my car waiting, about to journal a bit before they showed up. A grey car pulled next to me in the parking lot. The lady driving rolled her window down and ask me if I could help her. She had tears in her eyes, and frankly, I was immediately taken by her need. Sometimes, especially during this time of year, there are many cons out there looking to take advantage of the kindess that people show...so, I am ashamed to say, that I was a little guarded - but, I replied, "what is it you need? what can I help you with?" The tears continued rolling down her face and she began to tell me she was lost and needed to find her way back home, to Houston. I thought, "Wow!" she was a long way from home...how in the world did she get that turned around. Nevertheless, I began to explain how she could get back on track, and as I was explaining, I realized -- she is already confused and overwhelmed -- the instructions would only seem more confusing to her. So, I offered to lead her back to the freeway and put her back on the right path home. I assured her she would be okay, there was no need to cry. She immediately calmed down, wiped her tears, and thanked me. I led her to the freeway and waved her on her way with a prayer that God would watch over her during her journey.

After the experience, it was as if God himself said, "See, Kim...even though you may feel lost, I will lead you on the right path and point you in the right direction...all you gotta' do is ask for my help and let me lead you." view sourceprint?1

WHAT'S YOUR STORY?

"It is not the experiences of your life that shapes your story...it is the story that you tell about your life that shapes your experiences. What story are you tellin'?"

Most people are totally oblivious to the story they tell about their lives. You hear people sharing ideas, circumstances, and other personal tidbits with others and, if you notice, they are talking about how it impacts them in some way. Well, guess what? They are creating their story...the story in which they will experience.

We must tell the story of our lives as we choose to experience, not as we are experiencing. Sounds weird, I know...but, when you apply the Universal principles and understand that the LOA is unbiased, you will understand what I mean.

To state my present state of being in a way that depicts an experience I choose not to experience, but have unconsciously made it my experience, is a contradictory statement to God and the Universe about what I truly want...so, then I end up with nothing or much of the same.

Tell a different story...catch yourself before you begin to share your thoughts and feelings and lace them with what your "intention" is for the circumstance or event. When you make it an "intention", it doesn't feel like a lie to your subconscious. It feels real...and the feeling of realness is what will bring your desired outcome.

Eliminate the outside chatter-boxes that want to feed you with perceptions that are out of alignment with what you choose to experience.

Tell your own story...no one has the ability or power to make your story compellingly delicious...NO ONE - EXCEPT YOU! view sourceprint?1

STRENGTH & FLEXIBILITY...

"The strength in a tree is in its ability to bend." -- Zen Proverb

Today, I borrowed this proverb because of the current challenges I face. It reminded me of how sometimes I can be so stubborn that I am unwilling to be flexible with my circumstances.

Flexibility is the ability to allow movement and alleviate pain. It keeps things in a state of non-resistance. Those of you understand the Law of Allowing, know that non-resistance is instrumental in allowing those things you want to come into your life. This sometimes can be easier said than done, hence, the stubbornness. Think of it this way, "when you are not flexible enough to move out of your own way, you get stuck where you are." I think another "Kim-ism" has been born!
